A boutique family-law practice reclaimed 12+ hours a week and brought its marketing in-house
Boutique family-law practice: sole attorney plus part-time paralegal
The starting state
A sole attorney with a part-time paralegal, running a mix of high-net-worth divorce, collaborative-process, and litigation matters on a practice-management, email, and document-storage stack. The legal judgment was sharp; the production work around it was eating the week.
Six recurring workflows accounted for roughly 15 to 20 hours a week: multi-party scheduling for four-way sessions and expert depositions, discovery review and deficiency letters, welcome letters and post-engagement scheduling, billing descriptions reconstructed from timers and calendars, an outside marketing vendor on retainer, and a 'firm wiki' that lived in unsearchable folders.
What we built
A six-agent build, scoped from a two-week discovery, each one tuned to the firm's voice and matter state. It's a typical {{link:/ai-managed-services/|AI managed services}} engagement. Names below are the agents shipped into this one.
What changed
- Roughly 12+ hours a week reclaimed across the attorney and paralegal.
- The outside content-vendor retainer was eliminated by week 3. Blog, social, and newsletter now get produced in-house by the Marketing Suite.
- The Discovery Augmentation agent speeds up review and deficiency letters, the same work our {{link:/electronic-discovery-software/|e-discovery software}} handles at scale.
- Multi-party scheduling went from long email chains to one-click links, with no public booking page exposing the calendar.
- Billing descriptions are drafted from the timer, calendar, and call logs for one-click attorney approval.
- The Calendar Coordinator ran in shadow mode for three days, then went live with drafting authority. Nothing books without firm review.
- Tribal knowledge stuck in folders became a queryable AI brain that every other drafting agent reads from.
